I mounted my Canon EOS Rebel XTi on a tripod and used a 18-55mm lens set at 27mm. I used my camera's shutter priority mode, and because this waterfall was mostly in the shade, I was able to use a shutter speed of 0.8 second to blur the water.

This photo wasn?t necessarily planned. I originally had my camera on the tripod doing black and white landscape when I saw a butterfly at the corner of my eye. I quickly took the camera off of the tripod and chased it for 10 straight minutes until it finally rested in a bush. I laid down, and took the shot.

First off, I have to say that I am not a "Birder". But I love challenging my photographic skills and abilities. The American Kestrel is not a big bird, and it is fast. So even when you know its takeoff is imminent, it is still hard to get a nice clear photo of the bird. This particular image was shot with a Canon R6 camera, with the RF100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM lens at 1/5000 sec, f/7.1 and ISO 4000. I used the animal eye-tracking feature of this mirrorless full frame camera, and was very plea

This one took a bit of planning to catch the Milky Way in the place I wanted, the Weather, Moon, and Milky Way core all had to be right and as you might guess it took a few seasons for it to come together, every time it was a walk in the dark over the sand dunes from Pennard to get to the right spot on the cliff edge, I'm a little picky when it comes to star trails and although there are certain formulas for shutter speed to "visibly" limit star trails I'd rather have none, so I dragged my Star
